Meet the person behind
The Printed Edition

I'm Mel, the creator and designer behind The Printed Edition.

I've always been a creative person. I love photographs, beautiful design, keepsakes and anything that tells a story. I'm the person who keeps the little things others might throw away, who loves looking through old photographs, and who believes some of our most ordinary moments eventually become the ones we treasure most.

The Printed Edition brings all of those things together for me.

I get to take photographs, memories, stories and all those tiny details that mean something to you, and turn them into something you can actually hold onto.

And I genuinely love doing it.

I've always believed the little things are worth keeping.

Baby's first year magazine

Long before The Printed Edition, I was already turning our family memories into magazines. Paige’s First Year was one of my earliest creations.

How it all began

I've always loved the look and feel of magazines, but I wanted something much more personal than a traditional photo book.

I wanted photographs alongside the stories behind them. I wanted headlines, little captions, favourite memories and all the details that give a photograph meaning. I wanted something you could sit down with years later and not just remember what everyone looked like, but remember how that chapter of life actually felt.

That's where the idea for The Printed Edition grew.

What if our own stories could be preserved like the stories we read in beautiful magazines?

Not as a scrapbook. Not simply as pages of photographs. But as our very own publication — thoughtfully designed, professionally printed and completely personal.

And that's exactly what I now create.

A little more about me ...

When I'm not designing an Edition, you'll usually find me doing something creative. I love painting, crochet, junk journalling and graphic design, and I've always had a soft spot for anything vintage, beautifully worn or full of character.

I'm also a wife and mum, which is probably part of the reason I'm so sentimental about photographs and memories. I know how quickly ordinary days become the ones we wish we could go back and visit.

I don't believe magazines should just be for the big milestones. Sometimes it's the everyday photographs, funny stories and little family moments that become the most precious of all.

Love of Vintage

Your story is in my hands

With The Printed Edition, you're not sending your photographs off to an anonymous design team.

I'm the person who reads your stories, looks through your photographs and brings all those pieces together.

I notice the little details. I want to know who the important people are, why a particular photograph matters, and which memories make you laugh every time you tell them.

Every Edition is created individually, because every story I'm trusted with is different.

And I never forget that the photographs and memories you've shared with me aren't simply content for a magazine — they're part of your life.

Life Editions

Every chapter deserves its own Edition

Whether you're preserving your wedding day, celebrating someone you love or capturing a chapter of family life, I'd love to help you turn those memories into something you can hold onto.
